Midi-visite : la Maison du Peuple
Wednesday April 01 at 12:30 p.m.
Rendez-vous communiqué sur le billet 87000 LIMOGES
Welcome to the Maison du Peuple (People's House) in Limoges. Built in the 1930s under the leadership of Mayor Léon Betoulle, it replaced the original Bourse du Travail (Labor Exchange), which had become too small. Designed by architect Léon Faure, this Art Deco building houses offices and a meeting room adorned with stained-glass windows by Francis Chigot and a fresco by Pierre Parot. The CGT (General Confederation of Labour), its long-standing tenant, has left its mark, visible in the stained glass and mosaics.
– 45-minute guided tour.
– Visit not accessible to people with reduced mobility
– Registration and payment in advance MANDATORY at the Tourist Office or on our website.
– The meeting place is communicated AFTER payment and reservation.
