Château de Bort
The tenth generation of entrepreneurs to run the estate, Romain and Maëlis de Sèze, left their professional careers in 2018 to take full-time charge of the family Château de Bort and its gîtes. Listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments, this 15th and 19th-century neo-Gothic château sits at the heart of a magnificent 80-hectare landscaped park. Meticulously maintained from generation to generation, these premises will transport you back in time amidst period furniture, tapestries, and silks. Family history is ever-present, as evidenced by the numerous objects and portraits adorning the rooms. You won't find a sterile atmosphere here, but will be welcomed as a guest, in an ambiance worthy of a Jane Austen novel… A set menu (table d'hôtes) is offered, featuring a cold meal served in a traditional stone…

Description of accommodation
- After ascending the imposing white staircase adorned with numerous sculpted animal motifs, you will reach the spacious hallway leading to two bedrooms: the Isles Room and the Mauve Room. Each can accommodate two people and has a private bathroom. They have been carefully restored with the aim of preserving as many original features as possible. This is evidenced by the beautiful 19th-century silks, the parquet floors, and the many family heirlooms steeped in history. On the second floor, via a different staircase, the La Tour family suite (65 m²) offers a cozy, rustic ambiance and comprises three bedrooms (each with a sink) and a bathroom. There is a separate toilet. One bedroom for two people with a queen-size bed (160 cm) is located in the tower and offers a magnificent view of the park. There is also one bedroom with two single beds (90 cm) and another with two single beds (80 cm). Breakfast is served in the impressive dining room on antique china, and silverware is provided.
