Château de Bonneval




The Château de Bonneval overlooks the town of the village of Coussac. He occupied an important strategic position. A first building already existed in 930. It was rebuilt in the XNUMXth century, then remodeled in the XNUMXth century. It is a quadrilateral flanked by four large round towers, surrounded by ditches. It has belonged to the Bonneval family for more than ten centuries.
Must-sees include its eastern façade with a central square tower and double drawbridge, its inner courtyard, decorated in the Renaissance style with a colonnaded gallery, its elegant western façade, and its terrace. The château houses a rich collection of furnishings as well as tapestries from Aubusson and Fontainebleau. Throughout the year, discover the full program of events (lectures, concerts, theatrical performances, children's workshops, etc.). Rental options (gîtes, bed and breakfast rooms) are available for weddings, receptions, seminars, and other events.
