The Frac-Artothèque Nouvelle-Aquitaine is a public institution dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary art. Favoring the exchange between the artist and the public, the Frac-Artothèque organizes exhibitions, cultural activities (visits, workshops, art history courses, readings, conferences, etc.) and develops numerous partnerships with other cultural structures (museums, theaters, etc.), but also with local communities.
Historically located on the perimeter of the former Limousin region, the scope of action of the Frac-Artothèque has expanded since 2017 to the territory of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. An association under the 1901 law, the Frac-Artothèque is financed by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and by the State (Ministry of Culture – DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine). A new building will house the Frac-Artothèque at 17 bis rue Charles Michels in Limoges in 2025!
