HistoRail, musée du chemin de fer

HistoRail® is a railway museum created and managed since 1987 by volunteers passionate about history and rail travel. The museum is designed with an original scenography that uses two rooms (~500 m²) and the exteriors (~300 m²) of a former shoe factory (created thanks to the arrival of the railway in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat in 1881). It closely combines its diverse collections of real equipment, some functional and presenting the various trades necessary for your rail journey, with the interweaving of several miniature train networks at various scales of 1/22nd, 1/87th, 1/43,5th. Each of them has an explanatory, educational and fun role in this rail travel scenography. It is this intimate association that gives this original appeal to HistoRail.
