HistoRail, musée du chemin de fer

HistoRail® is a railway museum created and managed since 1987 by volunteers passionate about history and railway travel. The museum is designed with an original scenography that uses the two rooms (~500 m²) and the exteriors (~300 m²) of a former shoe factory (created thanks to the arrival of the railway in Saint-Léonard de Noblat in 1881). It intimately associates its diversified collections of real materials, some functional and presenting the various trades necessary for your journey by rail, with the interweaving of several networks of miniature trains at various scales from 1/22nd to 1/87th through the 1/43,5th. Each of them has an explanatory, educational and entertaining role in this scenography of rail travel. It is this intimate association that gives this original appeal to HistoRail.
