Musée archéologique et ethnographique René Baubérot

The René Baubérot museum in Châteauponsac is dedicated to local history.
This “Museum of France” is located in a former priory from the end of the Middle Ages. It exhibits archaeological collections from Prehistory and the Gallo-Roman era, as well as sculptures and art objects, testimonies of built and religious heritage.
It also highlights rural and bourgeois life in Limousin in the 19th and 20th centuries, around themes such as fashion, crafts, agriculture and daily life.
A set of minerals completes the museum's collection.
Every year, a new exhibition is presented in the museum annex, the “Maison du Terroir”.
