The Saint-Martial bridge in the back of a donkey and paved resembles the Saint-Etienne bridge. Its origin is however much older: its piles rest on Roman bases in large granite device. It replaced a ford located further downstream (the Rôche-au-Gô), and extended the decumanus maximus of the city. It now leads to an old block located on the right bank, the Sainte-Félicité district.
