    Martyr Village and Memory Center of Oradour-sur-Glane

    Visit Oradour-sur-Glane, an essential place of remembrance, a national symbol of Nazi atrocities. There you will discover the martyr village, preserved in its original state since 1944, a poignant testimony to the massacre of its entire population.
    Please note: the Memory Center, which usually completes the visit, will be closed for renovations. from September 17, 2025 to June 2027.

    Hiking from Saint-Gilles-les-Forêts to Mont Gargan

    Immerse yourself in the history of the Resistance by exploring natural landscapes marked by heroic deeds. Mont Gargan, a high place of the Resistance, offers an immersive experience between nature and history.

    Commemorative Stele of Aixe-sur-Vienne

    This stele marks the site chosen by the Resistance to carry out parachute operations in the hamlet of La Gaubertie, which belongs to the Copa network, from 1943. It is one of the very first sites among the forty approved in Haute-Vienne for parachute drops of equipment.

    Resistance Museum in Peyrat-le-Château
