To your aprons!
01
Preparing the dough
- Using a pastry brush, lightly brush a sheet of parchment paper with butter.
- Roll out your dough and cut it if necessary with a sharp knife without pressing too hard, so as not to crush the puff pastry.
- Then place your circle of puff pastry on the buttered and sugared sheet.
- Reserve in the refrigerator while you prepare the apples.
02
Preparing the apples
- Peel the Golden apples, then cut them into thin slices using a mandolin.
- Arrange the apple slices in a rosette shape on the dough, placing them about 2 cm from the edge.
- Brush the apples lightly with melted butter then sprinkle with brown sugar.
03
The cooking
- Preheat the oven to 180°C in fan-assisted heat.
- Cook the apples for about 30 minutes, until they are golden brown.
04
The tasting
- And there you have it, it's ready! Let it cool slightly before enjoying your delicious apple pie.
- Grandma Chantal’s tip: And for an even more indulgent touch, serve with a spoonful of thick cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream (yum!)
