The holidays mean getting together… and you’ve found THE cocktail that will impress everyone while revealing your inner bartender. Here’s the recipe for the Christmas cocktail by Frenchy Bartender: an ultra-indulgent blend of local rum…Petrorum"Of French Booze ProjectApples, almonds with a hint of cinnamon… all torched for that “wow” factor and for the more adventurous among us. Get ready, it’s going to be absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

For the cocktail

  • 4 cl of Petrorum Rum (French Booze Project Distillery)
  • 2 cl of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 cl of homemade almond syrup (Recipe below)
  • Homemade vanilla apple juice (to complete the cocktail) (Recipe below)
  • A few pinches of cinnamon
  • Ice cubes

For homemade almond syrup

For 1 L of syrup

  • 100g of shelled almonds
  • 1 liter of water
  • 300g sugar

For the vanilla apple juice

  • 4 apples (without the core)
  • 30 cl water
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

Homemade almond syrup preparation

  • MPlace everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil until the sugar is completely dissolved. 
  • Allow to cool, refrigerate overnight, then filter before use.

Preparing homemade vanilla apple juice

  • Blend the apples in a blender, add the water and vanilla sugar, then bring to a boil until the sugar dissolves.
  • Allow to cool, refrigerate overnight and filter before use.

Cocktail assembly

  • Put the rum, lemon, almond syrup and a few ice cubes in a shaker.
  • Shake well, pour into a tall glass filled with ice cubes, then top with homemade vanilla apple juice.

  • Add crushed ice to the top (optional), sprinkle with cinnamon which you can also smoke with a kitchen torch.
