Throughout the year and particularly during school holidays, the tourist office organizes unusual and dry visits to the Underground of the Ruler, maze of galleries under the former Abbey of the Rule in the cathedral district. A visit of class appreciated by young and old alike!
Guided tour of the Saint Martial crypt

Beneath the large Place de la République, where the former Saint-Martial abbey used to be, is a crypt housing the relics of Saint-Martial, a miracle worker from the end of Antiquity. As you walk through the underground ruins of the abbey, you will discover the sarcophagi of the necropolis and the life of the monks who lived there. 1 hour visit.
