Around the Central Halls
At the foot of the Halles
Delighted to enjoy the Place de la Motte and its Halles Centrales ! As time goes by, there are more terraces. Find the two restaurants in Les Halles: Le Olivier's Bistro and Jo Bars, as well as the tables of various stalls. A few steps away, take the time to sip a drink on the terrace of the Captain under the gaze of Renoir depicted in the trompe-l'oeil, or to drink a coffee at the swing cafe on the other side of Les Halles. Head to the surrounding area to discover many other terraces...





In the Butcher's Quarter
Around the charming Saint-Aurélien Chapel – patron saint of butchers – there is a range of establishments in all styles to eat with the delicacy of gastronomy L'Amphitryon, the authenticity of traditional dishes with Small Bellies and the new energy of la Local, café-restaurant which favors short circuits. Above all, do not miss the terrace of the bar-café Duke Stephen, which is an unmissable institution. And for those with a sweet tooth, even in summer, enjoy the restaurant's recently installed terrace At Elie's – Trendy Beef Bistro to enjoy a few drinks, traditional dishes and the chef's creations.



But also a stone's throw away, on Place de la Bareyrette
One of the must-see spots in Butchery district remains Place Bareyrette, with its typical half-timbered facades and the beautiful restaurant terrace Idyll which offers a delicious brunch from Wednesday to Sunday.

On the Place des Bancs & rue Haute-Vienne
Often bathed in sunshine, the terraces extend more and more over this small central square in the Upper Town. Between various food shops – cheese dairy, bakery, pastry shop, grocery store … – or other shops, you can't resist the urge to sip a drink or eat a good meal at La Place or the family Bistro 1900 and its superb Belle Epoque decor. Continue your way rue Haute-Vienne and discover many other restaurant terraces with a diverse and varied cuisine: Bonna'Pita, Mojo, Tucks Brothers ...





Place Saint-Michel & the Courtyard of the Temple
Very picturesque in front of the church of the same name, where you will find the pretty restaurant terraces Two Lions Creperies et The Slicer or for a sweet gourmet break on the terrace Flaherty & Co. Walk a few meters through the rue du Temple and discover a calm and authentic place out of sight, the secret Cour du Temple: for a gourmet vegetarian break at Bloom Kitchen or for an afternoon tea at Consulate Tea Room.




District of the city and Edges of Vienne
A stone's throw from the Cathedral, Rue Haute-Cité
In the hollow of medieval arteries, this pedestrian street with the appearance of a small square is bathed in sunshine for the most part during the day and covered with a warm atmosphere in the evening. To eat or have a drink, there is something for all budgets and all moods: with restaurant-bistros such as the Pub The Irishman, the bar At the end of the world, or a gourmet like La Cloister Kitchen. Walk down the street to the popular troquet At Bernard's Place de la Cité, or a few steps away, meet on the terrace of the restaurant-wine bar The Saint-Jean Counter and other addresses nearby…





From Pont Saint-Etienne to Pont Saint-Martial
Accompanied by the charm of edges of vienna make a stop at restaurant Land Pont-Saint-Etienne for a delicious lunch. As a bonus, not far from there, The Bistro of the Taste Buds, recently taken over, offers bistronomic cuisine that revisits childhood dishes, all in a warm setting with a terrace offering a lovely view of the Vienne! If you are more into the English PUB atmosphere, opt for the Dropkick Bar with its beer menu to quench your thirst, open 7 days a week.



Station District
Jourdan Square
Between the Tourist Office and the most beautiful train station in France, the Jourdan Square comes alive to offer you beautiful terraces that are both charming and friendly.
Find it there Hemera, an ideal place for a drink in summer but also a coworking space and pleasant work café all year round. Right next door, discover Ursa Minor, a street food address that you absolutely must try in Limoges, with a beautiful terrace.
Without forgetting the essential Jourda Bistron or even the delicious pizzeria Papa Trattore.
And don't hesitate to take a few more steps to enjoy the terraces of Cour Jourdan: The Sloping Slab, O'Brien's pub...


Other terraces are to be discovered in this emblematic district of Limoges. At the Gare des Bénédictins, the unmissable restaurant terrace Leo and Lea awaits you for a coffee before your train departs. A little further on, Cours Gay-Lussac, the superb tree-lined terrace ofA Garden in the City invites you to toast or taste some dishes in an idyllic setting in the heart of the city. Finally, as you approach Place Jourdan, Avenue de la Libération, let yourself be seduced by a little piece of Italy with the address La Casa and its friendly and warm terrace.

Entirely pedestrianized and renowned rue de la Soif by locals for its many outdoor bars and restaurants such as the crêperie Grandma Bigoude, Italian Saint Mark or the very rock Leprechaun and many more to discover.
