Around the Central Halls
At the foot of the Halles
Delighted to enjoy the Place de la Motte and its Central Halls! The more time passes, the more terraces there are, find the two restaurants in Les Halles: Le Olivier's Bistro and Jo Bars, as well as the tables of various stalls. A few steps away, take the time to sip a drink on the terrace of the Captain under the gaze of Renoir depicted in the trompe-l'oeil, or to drink a coffee at the swing cafe on the other side of Les Halles. For lovers of good wines and sunshine, wine, an independent wine merchant, offers you its terrace between Les Halles and Rue de la Boucherie. In the Butcher's Quarter
Around the charming Saint-Aurélien Chapel – patron saint of butchers – there is a range of establishments in all styles to eat with the delicacy of gastronomy L'Amphitryon, the authenticity of traditional dishes with Small Bellies and the new energy of Local, café-restaurant which favors short circuits. Above all, do not miss the terrace of the bar-café Duke Stephen, which is an essential institution. In winter and for those with a sweet tooth also in summer, take advantage of the terrace of the mountain restaurant Le versant to enjoy a few drinks, traditional dishes and why not mountain specialities.




But also a stone's throw away, on Place de la Bareyrette
One of the must-see spots in the Quartier de la Boucherie remains Place Bareyrette, with its typical half-timbered facades and the beautiful restaurant terrace Idyll which offers a delicious brunch from Wednesday to Sunday.

On the Place des Bancs & rue Haute-Vienne
Often bathed in sunshine, the terraces extend more and more over this small central square in the Upper Town. Between various food shops – cheese dairy, bakery, pastry shop, grocery store … – or other shops, you can't resist the urge to sip a drink or eat a good meal at Place or the family Bistro 1900 and its superb Belle Epoque decor. Continue your way rue Haute-Vienne and discover many other restaurant terraces with a diverse and varied cuisine: Bona Pita, Mojo, Peco, Tucks Brothers ...





Place Saint-Michel & the Courtyard of the Temple
Very picturesque in front of the church of the same name, where you will find the pretty restaurant terraces Chicken'Chick et The Slicer or for a sweet gourmet break on the terrace Flaherty & Co. Walk a few meters through the rue du Temple and discover a calm and authentic place out of sight, the secret Cour du Temple: for a gourmet vegetarian break at Bloom Kitchen or for an afternoon tea at Consulate Tea Room.





District of the city and Edges of Vienne
A stone's throw from the Cathedral, Rue Haute-Cité
In the hollow of medieval arteries, this pedestrian street with the appearance of a small square is bathed in sunshine for the most part during the day and covered with a warm atmosphere in the evening. To eat or have a drink, there is something for all budgets and all moods: with restaurant-bistros such as the Pub The Irishman, the bar At the end of the world, or a gourmet like The Cloister Kitchen. Walk down the street to the popular troquet At Bernard's, place de la Cité and discover many other unmissable terraces…





From Pont Saint-Etienne to Pont Saint-Martial
Accompanied by the charm of edges of vienna make a stop at a restaurant The Pont-Saint-Etienne for a delicious lunch then go to the bar-café-tea room Scallop break for a snack or an aperitif, the choice is yours. As a bonus, not so far The Recreation of the Butterflies is the super kids-friendly address! If you are more into the English PUB atmosphere, opt for the Dropkik Bar with its beer menu to quench your thirst, open 7 days a week.

Entirely pedestrianized and renowned rue de la Soif by locals for its many outdoor bars and restaurants such as the crêperie Grandma Bigoude, Italian Saint Mark or the very rock Leprechaun and many more to discover.


Place Denis Dussoubs
RDV on this sunny circular square populated by many terraces to quench your thirst but also to nibble: The Glacier, Michard, CRIL Cafe, Barley and Hops… As a bonus, don't hesitate to discover the addresses on rue Montmailler.


Place Fontaine des Barres
A charming place with its facades of some of the oldest houses in the city. Here is the wine bar Bacchus or the restaurant The Chalet and Opera Bistro.


Republic Square
