Lovers of “green, pitch and putt” will be delighted to learn that several challenges await them at Destination Limoges. From the south to the east of Limoges, two 18-hole courses are available for pro and amateur golfers.

Saint Lazare municipal golf course

5 minutes from the city center of Limoges, the golf course is part of a pleasantly wooded sports complex. There are some water hazards, severe roughs and relatively long holes, which is an interesting challenge for players of all levels.

First public golf course in France, inaugurated in 1976, the golf course of St Lazare is a facility managed in its entirety by the City of Limoges. Born from the pencil of Hubert Chesneau, this 18-hole course covers 55 hectares and offers amateurs a real sports challenge.

Opening hours and practical information

  • 7 days a week – all year except 1st January, 1st May and 25th December.
  • 8h / 21h30 in summer – 8:45 a.m. until nightfall in winter

Porcelain Golf

Le Porcelain Golf in Limousin, country of trees and water, is with its very varied relief a great playground for golfers of all levels, offering a unique course. Located less than 5 km from Limoges, on the sides of the Vienne valley, it unrolls its fairways in a splendid green setting of 75 ha.

A driving range allows you to train while dominating a broad, typically Limousin panorama with an 18-hole putting green. A course Pitch & Putt designed by Hubert Chesneau came in 2014 to complete this structure: it measures 594 meters over 9 holes.

On site: Bed and breakfast on the golf course, hotel less than 5km away. Restaurant on site.

Duration:

  • From May 1 to November 1: The secretariat and the Pro Shop are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 18:30 p.m. without interruption.
  • From November 2 to April 30: From 9h00 to 17h30. The secretariat is closed on Tuesdays. During this period, access to the course is reserved on Tuesdays, exclusively for members.
