For 40 years, the Zébrures d'Automne festival has offered a poetic journey, a world tour of the Francophonie without ever leaving Limoges! A rich program of live performances will take you to Canada, Togo, Switzerland, Mozambique, and many other countries…

Became a unmissable event In Limoges, the Francophonies festival of writing and performance – Les Zébrures d'Automne – invites you to discover the world of live performance through le theater and music. It invites you to travel and discover the French-speaking world through meetings, debates, readings, stories and films and documentaries. Focus History of the event

En 1984, Monique Blin and Pierre Debauchery, at the time director of the Center National Dramatique du Limousin embarked on the incredible adventure of creating a festival that they would call The Francophonies. A soft and harmonious marriage between the dance, theater and music francophone from all over the world. The festival is not simply intended to bring together and entertain, one of its main functions desired by its founders is learning and sharing. Over the years, this meeting has become a real meeting of artists and a place for the dissemination of theatrical works, allowing give voice to contemporary authors in their native languages.

Hassane Kassi Kouyaté – Director of Francophonies

Hassane Kassi Kouyaté, tall passionate about the performing arts, takes a few years later, the direction of the Francophonies and renames them “Les Zébrures”. It also allows this international cultural event to occur twice a year in spring and autumn, a real boon for regulars of the event.

The festival organizing team welcomes you to the House of Francophonies au 11 avenue du General de Gaulle in Limoges. You will find many activities there all year round and a real home during the Festival.

Performance venues during the festival

Last year of September 24 to October 4, 202512 venues hosted the festival and its audience, including the Opera, Jean-Gagnant Municipal Cultural Center, Union Theater and Noriac areaOther iconic sites have also opened their doors, such as the Lido, the House of Arts and Dance (formerly CCM Jean-Moulin) or even the BFM City CenterBeyond Limoges, the Jean Lurçat Theater in Aubusson and the Sophie Dessus Auditorium People from Uzerche also participated in the event.
