Limoges is preparing to experience an exceptional gourmet moment on April 12 and 13, 2025, during the final of the second edition of the Limouzi Golden Trophée. This brand new pastry competition open to amateurs and apprentices puts the spotlight on the delicious Limousin Apple. A competition enriched by the involvement of a fine team of local actors and a prestigious jury from the world of pastry, chocolate, sugar, bakery… An appointment to devour!

See you on April 12 and 13!
Mark your calendars! The Limouzi Golden Trophy grand finale will be held on April 12 and 13, 2025, Republic Square. Attend cooking demonstrations, entertainment, and tastings. You can also meet Jana Lai, World Pastry Vice-Champion and participant in the “Desserts Master” competition hosted by Amaury Guichon. Two delicious days not to be missed to celebrate pastry in all its splendor!

Live creations in front of the public
During these two days, the experts will taste amateur creations, prepared on site, in 2 categories: teenagers (10-15 years old) and adults (over 16 years old). The public will also have the opportunity to give their opinion on the delicacies on offer.

Who will win the porcelain trophy?
The competition will reach its peak with the presentation of the famous 2025 trophy in porcelain and in the shape of an apple Obviously! It was designed by porcelain maker Jean-Louis Puivif. It remains to be seen who will succeed Elie and Aurore, big winners of the 2024 edition and will win the coveted title of Best Amateur Pastry Chef in Limousin 2025… Cyril Lignac and Mercotte had better watch out, heh heh!

The coaches
For the 2025 edition, amateur candidates will benefit from the valuable advice of the Competition President, Chef Dorian from the Pastry Workshop and Marie Couloumy from Marie's Pastries. They will help them perfect their techniques and adjust their gestures in preparation for the tests. The Limousin Golden Trophée is not limited to a simple competition, its objective is to offer support to young pastry enthusiasts by helping them find a adapted school and apprenticeship master to support them in their professional careers. It is thus committed to cultivating and encouraging tomorrow’s pastry vocations.
The jury
This panel of experts embodies excellence and the diversity of gastronomy, particularly with sweet notes, thus bringing a beautiful dimension to this culinary adventure. Their presence promises exciting deliberations and deserved recognition for emerging amateur pastry talents.

- Yannick Maurie, godfather 2025, World Champion of Artistic Sugar and teacher at the CFA des 13 Vents de Tulle
- Camille Perrotte, godmother 2025 and winner of “Best Pastry Chef M6” S8

The birth of the competition

Who is the pastry chef Dorian Pelissier behind this wonderful project?
This brand new event in the Limougeaud landscape therefore relies on the support of dynamic local partners, particularly that of the chef Dorian Pelissier of Atelier Pâtisserie Limoges. With his dynamic personality and more than 10 years of experience in the profession, he brings his culinary expertise and passion to this competition. Dorian imagined everything, from the organization to the communication, he even created from scratch a beautiful website for the Golden Limouzi Trophy to push the project (let it be said, his job is pastry chef and not developer!)
The Limouzi Golden Trophy Association
At his side in the adventure, we find David Fleury manager of the Villa Fleury tourist accommodation, professional baker and pastry chef originally Dorian's former employer. But also, Françoise and Hervé Mérigaud, Co-Presidents of the Miss Haute-Vienne Committee, who have already worked in events. The team is completed by her husband Nick, Laurie Stenou, communications director and the talented Michael Faye, Limoges Chocolatier. It is around this great team that the “Association du Limouzi Golden Trophée” was born in the summer of 2023.
