From April 7 to 12, 2026, Limoges will showcase its exceptional craftsmanship during the 20th edition of the European Artistic Crafts Days, with the theme “Hearts at Work.” During these days, the porcelain city will resonate with workshops, demonstrations, and encounters where artisans will share a glimpse into their daily lives and their talents. Last year, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the art of papermaking at the Moulin du Got, discover porcelain at the Craft, or even learn the basics of shoemaking at UNIQUA. And this new edition promises many more enriching experiences…

A little reminder about the European Days of Arts and Crafts?
Did you know that the European Artistic Crafts Days were launched in 2002 by the National Institute of Artistic Crafts? Their objective: to open workshops and to introduce the general public to the richness and diversity of the arts and crafts professionsMission accomplished! Today, the event has become an unmissable event in France and 25 other European countries. In 2025, the JEMA even brought together 1,7 million visits in France.

the “Exceptional Meetings”
During these days, don't miss the "Exceptional Meetings"These are small-group visits that open the doors to workshops usually closed to the public. It's an opportunity to get up close to rare skills and... to participate in the restoration, conservation or creation of unique works in iconic heritage sites. In 2025, two sites had revealed their inner workings:
- The Got Mill in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat – stationery and printing
- The Craft in Limoges – research center on the arts of fire and earth

The European Artistic Crafts Days are also an opportunity to stop in Limoges. Take the time to visit the city and its must-see monuments! Stroll through the charming streets of the Butcher's district, admire the peaceful beauty of banks of the Vienne and take a detour via the Reynou Zoo for an exotic getaway. For lunch, we invite you to take a gourmet break at the Halles Centrales at the counters to enjoy as an aperitif pebbles, rolled and filled buckwheat pancakes, our must-try potato pie For the main course, and if you have a sweet tooth, our famous flognarde (our local apple clafoutis).
