European Heritage Days 2026

What are the European Heritage Days?

Did you know that the European Heritage Days were created in 1984 by the Ministry of Culture in France? The idea was simple: open the doors historical monuments to the general public and introduce them to the richness of our heritage. This is an opportunity to take part in guided tours, demonstrations, shows and concerts to learn while having fun, with activities for all ages. With almost 16 sites and monuments tours to discover, this event has become an unmissable meeting attracting millions of visitors each year in France and throughout Europe. For the 2025 edition, the theme of the European Heritage Days will be “Architectural heritage”.
