The grand Spring Cavalcade returns on Sunday, April 19, 2026 to the streets of LimogesOn the agenda: 10 colorful parade floats, including 2 new floats purchased this year from the city of Cholet, festive entertainment, and musical performances! So, what are you waiting for to put on your best beautiful suits ?

A festive and musical event
Replacing the March carnival, the parade of the cavalcade takes place every year in mid-May in the city center from Limoges on a route of 1,3 km. Each year it brings together nearly 75,000 people who came to cheer the event. This features around ten tanks accompanied byanimations and musical groups on a city route of July Field à l’hôtel de ville. THEthe public is warmly invited to dress up and participate in the parade.
Programme
The parade schedule
- 12 hrs, July Field – Discover the 10 floats decorated by the municipal workshops. In addition to the traditional floats, you'll find the one from Flash FM radio (partner of the event), the Gueules Sèches, the Miss Limoges Committee, as well as a float dedicated to confetti.
- From 15h – The procession begins at the Champ-de-Juillet and proceeds to the town hall (Square Jacques Chirac), with festive and musical entertainment throughout the parade route.
The course
The cavalcade procession will set off from 15 p.m., following the following route:
- Departure from the Champ-de-Juillet
- Avenue de la Libération
- Boulevard Carnot
- Place stalingrad
- Rue Jean Jaures
- Louis Blanc Boulevard
- Jacques-Chirac Square
- Arrival at the City Hall (Square Jacques Chirac)
Entertainment
Like every year, the Cavalcade invites you to meet its traditional parade of floats, whose Miss Limoges's float and her Maids of Honor, accompanied by costumed groups and musical entertainment of all styles: folk groups, traditional or carnival parade bands, bands and dance and artistic entertainment. And of course, brass band of the Gueules Sèches will be there, guest of honor every year with more than one hundred years of existence !
