An event not to be missed
Organized for several years by thethe Halles district association, this event became a highly anticipated meeting for regulars and a moment of discovery for the curious and tourists passing through Limoges. Each month, the Halles traders come together to offer you a unique gastronomic experience, with a wide selection of products: cheeses, fresh marine products, varied tapas, Italian pizzas, Asian cuisine, desserts, and a wide variety of drinks.
The Halles Centrales de Limoges, where the Nocturnes take place, are located in the historic heart of the city, which developed in the Middle Ages around the viscount's castle and Saint-Martial abbey. Today, the Upper Town presents a diverse urban landscape, mixing traditional half-timbered houses, classic and modern buildings.
Between two culinary discoveries and tastings of local specialties, you can visit the basilica Saint-Michel-des-Lions and enjoy a drink or a meal on the benches square. Crossing the Place du Weight Public, you will discover the picturesque and historic Boucherie district, with its half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and small independent businesses.
