For the 200 edition, find two key locations: the ice rink for signings, youth workshops and meetings, and the Jean-Gagnant cultural center for the Grands Entretiens. Join us for the 41st edition of Lire à Limoges June 20, 21 and 22, where writers and readers come together to celebrate their love of books. This event will take place at the rink, for the dedications, youth workshops and meetings and Jean-Gagnant cultural center for Great Interviews. Also enjoy unique meetings in the city's schools, with children's authors, and attend the Biscuit, Étincelles and Gazettes prize-giving at the ice rink, as well as the Val de l'Aurence schools prize at the cultural center. Don't miss this wonderful celebration of literature!

The Literary Prizes of the city of Limoges

Discover the literary prizes of the City of Limoges, selected by the librarians of the Bfm and the literary agency Les Belles Pages:

  • Biscuit Price (youth): Two cycle 3 classes will be juries, with discussions at the Bfm and award ceremony the 20 June during the Show.
  • Sparks Prize (novel for young adults): Juried high school classes, with exchanges throughout the year and presentation the 6 May in the presence of the winner.
  • Val de L'Aurence Schools Prices : Raise awareness among students about reading with the support of the City of Limoges. Selection by a reading committee of teachers.
  • Cazettes Prize (comic strip): Rewards a comic strip chosen by the public. Vote for your favorite comic strip starting in March on lire.limoges.fr, until May 23.

  • For regional publishing houses, registrations will take place from November 15 to December 31, 2024.

The proposed school activities

A thirty children's authors will be present for dedications and free workshops for all ages and will meet studentsand June 20 directly in schools, colleges and high schools in Limoges to bring a literary touch to the classroom.

As part of the projects of the Artistic and Cultural Education (EAC), aimed at encouraging children's participation in artistic life, the school project "The Princess with the Little Dot" will be offered in partnership with the Bfm. It will be carried out with the CP to CE2 classes of the Gérard-Philippe, Le Vigenal and René-Blanchot schools and led by the illustrator Eva Offredo and the Bysshe studio.
