Century-old locomotives

Since 1981, the association Conservatoire Ferroviaire Territoires Limousin Périgord (CFTLP) is concerned with preserving, restoring and reviving locomotives. With almost 10 passenger cars, 2 steam locomotives listed as Historic Monuments and 1 diesel locomotive, the locomotives traveled more than 45 km across 000 departments. She visited Ile de France, Aquitaine, the Pyrenees, Roussillon, Auvergne and of course our dear Limousin. A unique trip for the whole family!

  • Guide dogs for the blind are obviously accepted.
  • Small or medium dogs are accepted on the sole condition of being positioned in a basket or closed container provided for this purpose. Keeping a leash alone is not enough and neither is carrying it on your lap alone. This is for two main reasons: the presence of large numbers of children and the different running conditions of a conventional train (more eddies, more jolts and sudden noises – notably hissing – which can frighten even a dog who has the habit of traveling) making the situation more unpredictable than usual.
