Limoges is adorned in its finest finery for the European Crafts Days 2024! From April 2 to 7, 2024, the porcelain city will vibrate to the rhythm of the 18th edition of the European Crafts Days (JEMA). This year, the theme “On your fingertips” invites young and old to explore, through workshops, demonstrations and meetings, the richness and diversity of these ancestral know-how.
A journey to the heart of know-how
Did you know that the European Crafts Days (JEMA) were created in 2002 by the National Institute of Crafts ? The idea was simple: open the doors of the workshops to the general public and introduce them to the richness and diversity of artistic crafts. Successful bet ! Today, it is an unmissable event with more than 100 visitors each year in France and in 23 European countries. This year in New Aquitaine, more than 300 events and 650 artisans are waiting for you to discover the magic of “handmade”. Come and discover the world of artistic crafts in a tactile and immersive way.

- Interactive workshops for all tastes: clay modeling, discovery of mosaic, introduction to porcelain painting... Enough to awaken your creative talents and thrill you!
- Open the doors of Limougeauds artisan workshops: Meet enthusiasts, observe their precise gestures and let yourself be told the story of these ancestral know-how for which Limoges is famous.
- Porcelain maker, glassmaker, shoemaker… Explore the diversity of artistic crafts and discover unique creations that will transport you to a world of imagination and beauty.
- Take part in demonstrations of know-how, visit unique exhibitions and attend exciting conferences. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of artistic crafts and discover the secrets of making exceptional pieces.
Live a unique experience with “Exceptional Meetings”
Don't miss the “Exceptional Meetings” during these days. These privileged meetings reserved for a small number of visitors invites you to discover excellent know-how at the heart of workshops usually closed to the public. This is an opportunity to participate in the restoration, conservation or creation unique works in iconic heritage places. Please note, places are limited!

The European Crafts Days are also an opportunity to stop off in Limoges. Take the time to visit the city and its must-see attractions! Stroll through the charming streets of Butcher's district, admire the peaceful beauty of banks of the Vienne, and take a detour via the Reynou Zoo for an exotic getaway. For lunch, we invite you to take a gourmet break at the Central Halls at the counter to enjoy the aperitifs pebbles, rolled and filled buckwheat pancakes, our essential potato pâté for the main course and if you have a sweet tooth, our famous flognarde (our local apple clafoutis).
