The theme “The music of the garden”

“Rendez-vous aux Jardins” aims to promote the discovery and appreciation of green spaces. The objective is to highlight their botanical and landscape diversity. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, these days allow visitors to explore the gardens and enjoy a unique experience in contact with nature. Animations, guided tours, exhibitions and various activities are often organized to enrich this encounter between the public and the gardens.

This year, the theme in the spotlight is “Music from the Garden”. He honors the richness of sounds that resonate within these places. Come and discover the songs of the birds, the croaking of the frogs, the rustling of the leaves, the runoff of the water. These sounds are combined through sound installations creating a natural symphony and contributing to the lively ambiance of a garden.

The open gardens of the Château de La Borie

One of the star destinations of this edition is the Borie castle, whose garden is in perfect harmony with this theme. located in Solignac, the “Moving Garden” of the Château de la Borie, developed according to the principles of the famous landscape architect Gilles Clement, offers a unique experience where the music of nature mixes with that of plants. This garden, restored in accordance with ecological principles, offers a healthy and diversified ecosystem where visitors can discover the medicinal power of plants as well as the practices of permaculture.

The Losmonerie gardens, classified as a remarkable garden

A little bit of history

Located in Aixe-sur-Vienne, the Losmonerie Castle is a historic gem erected in XNUMXth century become over the centuries a noble residence of great architectural beauty. It houses within its walls a suite of eight Aubusson tapestries classified Historical Monument, a significant heritage for Limousin.

A storyteller and dancers intertwine their worlds, thus creating a singular link with the flora and spaces of the garden, inspired by the sounds of trees and plants. You will be captivated by the songs of the rose, the stories of the violet, the birch or the ginkgo.

Cassinomagus Gardens

Presentation

The Cassinomagus Garden is inspired by the natural history of Pliny the Elder. Its purpose is to preserve the typical plants of Gallo-Roman antiquity representing more than 100 plant species, organized according to their uses. A set of scents has been set up to allow visitors to recognize the different fragrant species. In addition, the garden also includes the small vegetable garden, which highlights the plant species known in the XNUMXst century. Part of the remains, which is not visible, is symbolically restored thanks to plant elements.
