Much more than a Festival for its founders Monique Blin and Pierre Dévoluy, a dream, that of highlighting artists from French-speaking countries by breaking down the borders that separate them. An international scene that promotes up-and-coming authors and encourages sharing, conviviality and fraternity. The Zébrures d'automne festivities have offered a poetic journey for 40 years, a world tour of the French-speaking world without taking off from Limoges! A program rich in live shows and which will make you discover Canada, Togo, Switzerland, Mozambique and many others...

Performance venues during the Francophonies – Zébrures d'automne

Explore the streets of beautiful Limoges and discover places where international artists have a free voice! The organizing team of the festival are happy to welcome you under their beautiful Berber tent at the House of Francophonies au 11 avenue du General de Gaulle in Limoges, you will find many activities there all year round and a real home during the Festival with an exhibition, a bar, a bookstore and spread, meetings and great moments of conviviality to share.

The Bookstore-Tartinerie > 10 a.m. to 19 p.m.

Hélène Bustos welcomes you every day from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. and offers you her
selection of works around the themes discussed on stage, his
hearts and the works of the authors of the shows. And like in his bookstore
de Sarrant, she will concoct you some toast, sweet or savory.

Focus History of the event

En 1984, Monique Blin and Pierre Debauchery, at the time director of the Center National Dramatique du Limousin embarked on the incredible adventure of creating a festival that they would call The Francophonies. A soft and harmonious marriage between the dance, theater and music francophone from all over the world. The festival is not simply intended to bring together and entertain, one of its main functions desired by its founders is learning and sharing. Over the years, this meeting has become a real meeting of artists and a place for the dissemination of theatrical works, allowing give voice to contemporary authors in their native languages.

Hassane Kassi Kouyaté – Director of Francophonies

Hassane Kassi Kouyaté, tall passionate about the performing arts, takes a few years later, the direction of the Francophonies and renames them “Les Zébrures”. It also allows this international cultural event to occur twice a year in spring and autumn, a real boon for regulars of the event.
